Everything is growing..

Things are growing at an alarming rate in our little household these days...

The vegetable patch has gotten out of control (don't you love 'action girl' in this shot)

We've been eating fresh beetroot (round 1 of the vege patch planting has highlighted a slight issue of overcrowding - so these biggish beets were a surprise)

The tomato plant is 'finally' starting to produce (although nothing is ready to eat yet)

The father of the house has gotten 1 year older

Baby Andrew is now 21weeks developed

And of course our sweet daughter Lola is just growing by the day (as is her new fascination with dress up clothes?).. lucky we have plenty on hand from her cousins

My crafting is coming along again these days, and I'll have some images of the quilt I'm making for Lola in the next few days. It's very exciting :)

Sorry for my absence...

But this little one has been making me feel less than crafty lately...

But at close to 14 weeks now - the sickness is starting to subside. And when I get to see images of his/her little hands growing - it all makes it feel worthwhile!

My first foray with Oil cloth..

So, I don't think I've ever even touched Oil cloth (and I'm the the first to acknowledge that the feel of the fabric is just as important as how it looks) - but I think I'm about to take a leap of faith and order some online.

I love the way it looks on these chairs over at MADE (by Dana)

We have a bench seat on our new outdoor area, and I need to make a box cushion for it. I think this black and white pattern from Oil cloth Addict will be just perfect

My only concerns are how it will feel under backside - and whether it will fade badly under our relentlessly sunny Queensland sky?  But I think I'm going to take that leap of faith, and buy some.
